Trees for All & CO2-compensation

Travel2Move is a member of VvKR (the Association of Small-Scale Travel Organizations), which has had a partnership agreement with Trees for All since February 2020. Would you like to offset the CO2 emissions from your vacation? You can do so easily and on your own initiative, using a special reference code for travelers booking with VvKR travel organizations such as Travel2Move.
What is Trees for All?
Trees for All is a Dutch, non-profit organization that has been committed to reforestation and the protection of existing forests for more than 20 years, both in the Netherlands and abroad. The organization carries the CBF quality mark and offsets CO2 emissions through sustainable forestry projects. For every tree donation, Trees for All plants two trees: one in the Netherlands and one abroad. This is why donations are always made in multiples of two.
The partnership between VvKR and Trees for All
VvKR, the industry association for small-scale travel organizations that Travel2Move is a member of, has donated at least 130 trees to Trees for All every year since 2020. All donations made by VvKR members and their travelers using the special reference code VKR are included in the joint “VvKR Tree Counter,” which is displayed on the VvKR homepage.
Offset the CO2 emissions from your trip
Travel2Move does not make donations on your behalf, but we believe it is important that you are aware of this opportunity. As a traveler, you can offset your trip’s emissions through Trees for All in two ways:
- Donate trees: Make a direct donation for a specific number of trees, with a minimum donation of two trees.
- Calculate your CO2 emissions: First calculate the emissions from your trip based on your flight, car mileage, or energy consumption, and then offset the corresponding amount by donating trees.
When making your donation, always include the reference code VKR. This ensures that your contribution is automatically added to the joint VvKR Tree Counter, and you will receive a personal certificate from Trees for All.
Both options can be arranged directly through the Trees for All website. If you need help calculating the emissions from your trip, feel free to contact us. We will be happy to help.
Why offsetting your trip is worthwhile
- Every tree donation contributes to forest restoration in two places at once: in the Netherlands and abroad.
- You can make a conscious choice without it affecting your booking or travel price—it is entirely voluntary.
- Your contribution is added to the joint VvKR Tree Counter.
- You will receive a certificate from Trees for All.
- Under certain conditions, donations to Trees for All may be tax-deductible due to the organization’s ANBI status.
