Upon arrival in Portugal, you will be transferred to the charming town of Estremoz, one of the iconic white towns of the Alentejo region. After a welcome briefing and e-bike fitting, the remainder of the day is free to explore this historic town at your own pace. Wander through atmospheric squares, admire the medieval town walls and enjoy a drink on one of the lively terraces. Your day concludes with an overnight stay in an impressive castle hotel, offering panoramic views over the rolling hills of the Alentejo.
Today you cycle through a gently rolling landscape of vineyards, cork oak forests and olive groves, following quiet country roads through the Alentejo countryside. The route leads past the villages of São Bento do Cortiço and Orada, before reaching Borba, a town known for its marble heritage and local wines. The day ends in Vila Viçosa, often referred to as the Princess of the Alentejo. Here you can explore the historic centre, with its Ducal Palace and marble-paved squares. A relaxed and scenic cycling day characterised by open landscapes, subtle colours and a sense of tranquillity.

You cycle along quiet country roads to the fortified village of Alandroal, dominated by its medieval castle, and continue to Terena, a charming village of whitewashed houses. Nearby lies the prehistoric dolmen Anta da Azenha dos Apóstolos, offering a tangible connection to the region’s distant past.
Today the route leads you through a typical Alentejo landscape of cork oak forests, vineyards and golden rolling hills. You pass through the village of Alandroal before arriving in Redondo, a town known for its ceramics and wine-making tradition. You spend the night in a historic monastery that has been transformed into an elegant hotel, set in the heart of the countryside. A special place offering peace, authenticity and the timeless atmosphere of the Alentejo.
A day rich in culture and contrasts. You cycle through vast olive groves and gently rolling fields towards Évora, the cultural heart of the Alentejo. Along the way, you pass through the small villages of Santa Suzana and Nossa Senhora de Machede. Upon arrival in Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage city, there is time to explore its remarkable historical sights, including the Roman Temple, the cathedral and the intriguing Chapel of Bones.
Today you explore the rural heart of the Alentejo. The route leads past prehistoric monuments, vineyards and small whitewashed villages. In Arraiolos, you can admire the medieval castle and the town’s renowned handwoven carpets. Via the quiet village of Igrejinha, you cycle back to Évora, where you spend your final evening in this captivating historic city.
After breakfast, your cycling holiday comes to an end. A transfer takes you back to Lisbon (approximately 1.5 hours). If you wish to extend your stay, an additional night can be booked in Évora, giving you more time to enjoy the local atmosphere, regional cuisine and Alentejo wines.
