Legal Information for Package Travel (EU Directive 2015/2302)
The combination of travel services offered to you constitutes a package travel arrangement within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302. This means that you are entitled to all EU rights applicable to package travel. Travel2Move acts as the tour operator and is responsible for the proper performance of all travel services included in the package.
Travel2Move provides the legally required insolvency protection. This protection ensures that all payments made by you are refunded and, insofar as transport is included in the package travel arrangement, that repatriation is guaranteed in the event that Travel2Move becomes insolvent.
Before the package travel contract is concluded, the traveler receives all essential information about the package travel arrangement. For the performance of the travel services included in the contract, at least one organizer is always responsible. The traveler will receive emergency contact details, enabling him or her to contact the organizer or a designated contact point during the trip.
The traveler may transfer the package travel arrangement to another person, provided that this is communicated within a reasonable period and subject to the payment of reasonable and justified costs, where applicable. The price of the package travel arrangement may only be increased if this is expressly stipulated in the contract and solely as a result of specific cost increases, such as fuel prices, taxes, or exchange rates, up to a maximum of twenty days before the start of the package travel arrangement. If the price increase exceeds eight percent of the total travel price, the traveler has the right to terminate the contract without paying a termination fee. If Travel2Move reserves the right to increase the price, the traveler is also entitled to a price reduction if the relevant costs decrease.
If a significant element of the package travel arrangement, other than the price, is substantially altered, the traveler may terminate the contract without paying a termination fee and is entitled to a full refund. If Travel2Move cancels the package travel arrangement before its commencement, the traveler is entitled to a refund and, where applicable, to compensation. The traveler may terminate the contract free of charge if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occur at the destination that significantly affect the performance of the package travel arrangement.
In addition, the traveler may terminate the contract at any time before the start of the package travel arrangement upon payment of an appropriate and justified termination fee. If, after the start of the package travel arrangement, a significant part of the agreed travel services cannot be provided, Travel2Move will offer suitable alternative arrangements at no extra cost. If these alternatives are not equivalent, the traveler is entitled to a price reduction. If the issue is not resolved within a reasonable period, the traveler may terminate the contract without paying a termination fee.
The traveler is entitled to a price reduction and/or compensation if the travel services are not performed or are improperly performed. Travel2Move is obliged to provide appropriate assistance to travelers who are in difficulty. In the event that Travel2Move becomes insolvent, all payments made by the traveler will be refunded and, insofar as transport is included in the package travel arrangement, repatriation will be guaranteed.
